This tableau explores the theme of hidden burdens and the unseen struggles that many individuals face. It was originally conceived for a picture book I'm crafting for my sister, as a testament to the complex nature of our existence. This is a pencil drawing of myself. This drawing is about the things you keep hidden inside of you. The things that have molded you into the person you are today, even though you want to forget them. Both good and bad.
It's Inside of Me
This painting captures the vibrant layers of Halo-Halo, a beloved Filipino dessert. Using acrylic paint, I highlighted the mix of colors and textures—crushed ice, sweet beans, nata de coco, leche flan, and ube ice cream on top. The contrast between the dessert and the background makes it stand out, celebrating the richness of Filipino culture in a single glass.
