Once upon a time in the city of Terabithia lived a boy named Peter. Peter in Terabithia lives a quiet life. Peter hates loud noise and loud music, so Peter in his own space is calm and alone but there is a dark city called Gotham. In Gotham, there is always loud music playing and even a loud noise of people yelling and screaming. In Gotham, there is a leader named Mark Anthony who says to his people in Gotham that evil like the Bodybuilders, the Jocks, the Goths, the hockey players, the Honors, the Potheads, and the Toxics are loud, wild, and make a lot of loud noise and play music out loud in big speakers to disturb people and ruin their sleep pattern even give everybody a headache.
One day Peter in Terabithia, in his quiet place playing quiet music like Walt Disney’s and classical music while cooking, was getting disturbed and annoyed by the loud noise traveling from the city of Gotham. Peter tried wearing his wireless headphones to concentrate and ignore the deafening noise. Still, the noise was deafening and powerful, so Peter went to see Raju to file a complaint against Mark Anthony and the people living in Gotham for disturbing people. Raju takes the complaint from Peter and tries to take action by sitting down and talking with Mark Anthony to tell them that there was a complaint filed by Peter from Terabithia on Gotham for making loud noise and playing music very loud, so I request you and the rest of Gotham to stop.
Mark Anthony says to Raju in Gotham we are not disturbing anyone. We make a lot of noise and play music very loudly every day no one has a problem with it, so I am sorry we are not to stop and the rest of Gotham will also agree with my decision just because Peter does not like the loud noise. Mark Anthony says, “The whole Gotham cannot change for one person who lives in a city with peace that does not make any noise.” Raju apologizes to Peter and says, “Raju and his people living in Gotham are not going to stop making loud noises and playing music very loud.”
Peter thought carefully about conveying his experiences in Terabithia to the people of Gotham. Peter wants them to understand that life in Terabithia is peaceful and satisfying, so he takes a deep breath and shares his story. He says “Living in Terabithia is like finding a hidden refuge away from the noise and chaos of the city. It is a place where you can truly be yourself.” In Gotham, I see so many people rushing around, always busy, but in Terabithia, I have learned the beauty of slowing down and appreciating the little things.” Looking around at the faces of his Gotham audience, Peter could see curiosity sparking in their eyes. “I want you to know that it is possible to find joy in simplicity. I believe each of you can find your version of Terabithia right here in Gotham, it might be in a quiet cafĂ©, a local park, or even during a cozy night at home, embrace the moments of peace and let them fill your soul.” As Peter finished speaking, an unexpected hush fell over the crowd in Gotham. The vibrant city sounds faded into the background, allowing the weight of his words to linger in the air. Peter was mesmerized by the notion of finding peace in their hectic lives and was momentarily lost in thought, but then, a brief scuffle erupted on the street nearby.
A young woman, clutching her bag tightly, had stumbled as she tried to evade a pair of muggers. The onlookers gasped, their curiosity piqued, but Peter sensed that this was the perfect moment to put his words into action. Peter stepped forward, the chaos that had stirred was palpable, but instead of joining the crowd’s instinct to panic or shout, he moved quietly between the escalating situation and the startled audience, with purpose, he approached the muggers, his voice steady but low, cutting through the noise. “Hey!” he called, drawing their attention. His calm demeanor contrasted sharply with the urgency of the moment. The muggers paused, glancing at each other in uncertainty. Peter continued, “Is this really how you want to spend your evening? Look around. This is not Terabithia. It’s Gotham, and there’s a better way to find what you want.”
The unexpected confrontation created a stillness. The crowd, initially swept up in fear and intrigue, now watched intently. In that brief silence, hearts raced, and breaths were held. With just a few carefully chosen words, Peter challenged the muggers, urging them to rethink their choices, to find their path instead of resorting to violence. The tension in the air thickened, but it was that very stillness that held power.
Finally, the muggers exchanged glances, their bravado waning in the face of Peter’s unexpected calm. Slowly, they backed away, deciding that this night was not worth it after all. As they disappeared into the shadows, the crowd erupted into murmurs of relief and disbelief. Peter turned back to the people with a quiet resolve in his eyes. “See,” he said gently, “during the chaos, we can still find strength and peace. It begins with us.” The crowd stood in awe, a silent acknowledgment of the power of choosing peace over conflict, unity over division. As they move through the shadows of the warehouse Peter and Raju encounter members of the gang, by taking them out one by one using non-lethal methods.
However, the gang leader, realizing he is being hunted, grows increasingly desperate. His paranoia mounts, causing him to resort to reckless measures. In a showdown, Peter confronts Mark Anthony in an abandoned section of the warehouse, Raju is armed and cornered, sneering at Peter, and attempting to intimidate him with threats. But Peter stands his ground, sharing his belief in finding redemption and the possibility of change.
Time slows as Peter leaps to the side, avoiding the collapsing structure. In a chaotic tumble, the crates crash down on Mark Anthony, pinning him beneath the weight of his hubris. Peter approaches cautiously. Mark Anthony is trapped and realizes the end is near, glares but definitely can no longer pose a threat. With a final, deep breath, Peter talks to him about the consequences of his actions, emphasizing the chance for reflection even in defeat.
