The 2024 edition of The Phoenix Literary Arts Journal won the Flux Student Design Competition award for publication design. Soren de Niz and Katie Doncourt are credited with the award-winning design.

The Phoenix reigned victorious out of about 800 submissions and is the only community college to receive a 2024 Flux award.

Awards will be presented on February 27 in Baltimore.
