Here lies me.
In the ashes of electric fires
Where I did burn amidst the lovely
Dancing people

Silent, and with love
We are all islands
But some of us build bridges
Some are very long
Leaves cast inkblots on the cathedral
But only for now
Do not border my world,
For the sky has no rivers, and
The cosmos no mountain ranges
What other planet?
What other place, with greener grass have we
To travel to, when things are rough at home
And we, for all our bold resilience
Must run away?
Orange leaves
Glitter in the sun
My eyes are growing weak.
The sky’s so blue today,
I could fall into it forever.
